This is a German Walther P38 9mm semi-automatic pistol with a magazine. It was acquired from General Blaskovitz Commander of the 25th German Army in May of 1945, and donated to the Museum 21 Dec 1968 by General Foulkes. a) Pistol - The Walther P38 was the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. It is a lock-breech pistol with a double-action/single-action trigger. This pistol has bakelite grips. It is marked on the barrel with "P38" "ac/41" and "9044e". b) Magazine - stamped with "P38" on the side. |
