A Rifle - USA Carbine .30 M1 Service # 2217313. Presented to Charles Foulkes by General Mark Clark, Allied Commander of Italy 1944/45. Manufactured by Standard Products c.1943/1944. a) Rifle. on the top is inscribed "STD PRO / 2217313". There is a shallow rectangular indent in the wood on the left side of the rifle measuring 2.2cm x 1.4cm, which may have once held a plaque. There is some residue of adhesive in the indent. b) Short rectangular magazine. |
