Description |
A German Luger 9mm with two magazines and a case. Presented to Foulkes by the Royal Canadian Dragoons, May 1945. a) - the Luger. The Serial number is incribed on the side of the gun and on the top is inscribed "1936" and "S/42" b) - magazine. On the end of the magazine there is the number "4382". c) - The case is made of brown leather with buckle and strap to hold it closed. The case holds the luger and has a pocket for a magazine. There is a brass plaque on the case which reads "LT.-GEN. C. FOULKES, C.B.E., D.S.O. / WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF / THE / ROYAL CANADIAN DRAGOONS / MAY '45". d) - magazine. On the end of the magazine is the number "3839". |
