Description |
Pewter lapel pin secured to a cardstock backing. The pin depicts a torch being passed from one hand to another with maple leaves surrounding the torch. On the torch there is a orange-red glass inlay. Below there is a label that reads "Memoriam Eorum Restinebimus" which means "we will keep their memory" in Latin. The cardstock is a beige photo of a cemetery with crosses and red poppies in the background. The text superimposed on the image reads: "First World War Veterans [,] The End of an Era." On the back of the cardstock the poem For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon is printed, in both English and French. The pin is secured with a flathead locking clutch. |
