Description |
Identification bracelet with aluminium oval disc/tag and silver chain band. Holes punched on short sides of the disc to attach the chain pieces with metal loops. Dog clip clasp on one end of the chain to fasten the bracelet around the wrist. The tag has text stamped onto the front surface, including Regimental Number, name, unit and religion of the wearer. Reverse side is plain/without markings. This type of identification tag was not standard issue for Canadian or other Commonwealth troops but was in use by the French. This unofficial tag would have been purchased and made privately from a seller. |
