Description |
A silver 8-pointed diamond-cut star with raised gold circle bordered in twisted rope. Inside the border, the cypher of Queen Victoria, VRI, is inscribed is raised block letters and surmounted by the St. Edward's Crown. The reverse of the silver star is also diamond-cut. The gold bezant is attached to the star by protruding lugs secured with a pin, bent at the end to keep in place. A silver slide fastener is attached to the top point of the star and has a stamped maker's mark for J.R. Gaunt. |
