Description |
A) Service Dress Jacket made of lightweight wool-polyester blend material in rifle green colour. Open collar with lapels, plain cuffs with straight sleeves, patch breast pockets with box pleats, 3-point flaps and small buttons. Skirt/hip pockets sewn between shell and lining with straight flaps, no buttons. Centre front closure with 4 buttons of Canadian Forces Pattern. Attached shoulder straps with badges indicating rank of Brigadier General (crossed sword and baton surmounted by Royal Crown, one maple leaf below). Embroidered "CANADA" shoulder badges of gold thread on rifle green base. Broad band of gold braid on each cuff. Ribbon Bar sewn directly to coat above proper left breast pocket with 6 ribbons in two rows (two on top, 4 on bottom). Ribbons/awards are as follows: Top row: Order of Military Merit, CMM [Blue with gold edges (4.8mm), blue cross with gold maple leaf]; Order of St. John [plain black watered silk with small Maltese cross in silver] Bottom Row: Special Service Medal [dark green central stripe (12mm) flanked by stripes of white and red (5mm) at the edges]; United Nations Medal, UNFICYP [pale blue with central white stripe bordered in dark blue]; Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee Medal (Canada) [white with thin red stripes at the edges, a broad blue stripe in the centre and a thin red stripe down the middle of it]; Canadian Forces Decoration [orange-red divided into four equal parts by three thin white stripes, with two silver rosettes] A specialist skill badge is sewn above the ribbon bars on the proper left breast. This badge is for qualified parachutists. Black felt base cloth with 'wire' embroidery: gold wings with black line work flanking a silver parachute, red maple leaf centered at base of wings and chute. B) Pair of rank insignia collar badges, Infantry General Officer. Crossed gold swords with white enamel hilts and pommels. Pinned to each lapel with two clasp fasteners. C) Nametag pinned above proper right breast pocket. Tag made of plastic with white text on black background. Two clutch backings attached on inside of coat. |
