Description |
A photographic print of the Wolseley Barracks Indoor Baseball Team 1909-1910. The print is black and white and mounted in black card stock with silver writing at the bottom listing the men in the photo. The photo contains three rows of men arranged so the back row is four men standing, the middle row is five men seated in chairs, and two men are seated on stools in the front. The two men in the front hold baseball bats and a baseball sits on the ground between the ends of the bats. The top of the photo has been cut off, including the title of the photo. The men are from "K" Company, located at Wolseley Barracks in London, ON in 1909-1910. The men wearing baseball uniforms have "K" patches on their left breasts. Team members from left to right: top row - PTE. H. BLOCK (catcher), LANCE-CORP. G. HYMEN (3rd base) SERGT-MAJOR D. BORLAND (W.O), PTE. H. TRAVIS (right field). middle row - CORP. J. COOKE (left field) The reverse of the image has "L/CPL MITCHEL" written in pencil across the right edge. A paper label in the centre of the back has an Old Number written in red and a new Object ID written in pencil.
