Description |
A black and white photographic print of the D Company Senior Basketball Team from 1934-1935. The photo was taken while D Company was stationed at Fort St. Jean in Quebec. The print is surrounded by a grey cardboard mat or frame with the title " "D" Company, The Royal Canadian Regiment / Senior Basketball Team, St-Jean P.Q." across the top and the names and positions of the men in the photo along the bottom. The frame has a thick black border around the edge of the photo print. The photo depicts 7 men, arranged with 4 men standing in the back row and 3 men seated in the front row. All the men are wearing white basketball singlets except for the man in the middle front (Major Campbell), who is wearing a suit. On the floor in front of his knees is a trophy, presumed to be the St. Johns Senior League Cup. To the left of the trophy is a basketball with "1934-35" written on it in white.
