Black and white photo of a group of RCR soldiers in a field. Three of the men are standing, and the rest are seated. Several of the men who are sitting are holding bowls and spoons. They are in front of a pickup truck, and are wearing summer dress with shorts, as well as peaked caps featuring the cap badge of The RCR. Pencil inscription on the back of the photo reads: "STANDING L TO R. / CPL WM MACKNESS / CPL. (BUNNY) MORGAN / PTE SID RICHARDSON / SEATED L TO R / PTE GEORGE HANSFORD / " ROY RICHARDSON / " CHAS. An inscription on a duplicate photograph in the collection (2005.014.0010) suggests this photograph was taken at Niagara in 1937. |
