A black and white photographic print of A Company of The RCR, the winners of the Walker Cup Competition c.1926-1927. The image depicts 20 men arranged in 3 rows with 4 standing in the back, 9 standing in the middle and 7 seated on benches in the front row. All men are wearing service dress with medals and sashes where appropriate, with forage caps on. A large cup-style trophy with two side handles is on the ground in front of the knees of the man in the middle front. Two Vickers machine guns sit to either side of the front row, aiming just off camera. There are boxes of ammunition resting beside each machine. |
